One-stop shop for your AC & DC Load Bank needs
To test the flow of power through a Data Centre companies opt to use AC & DC Load Banks. These banks verify the AC and DC load capabilities of a Data Centre’s power system, allowing companies to keep track and look out for abnormalities which may lead to a power outage.
Synerflux provides the best in AC & DC Load Bank technology in Singapore. Our systems allow for accurate testing of today’s critical power systems and are easier to work with than most others on the market. We offer load banks with ratings from 20KVA up to 800KVA for DC applications, and 500 kW – 300,000 kW for AC applications.
Our AC & DC Load Banks
Here at Synerflux we do not want to restrict our clients choices. We have AC & DC Load Banks of various sizes to suit the needs of your Data Centre setup. Each can be customised further to meet the specific requirements of your battery and power flow setup as well. Check them out below.
AC Load Banks
Our AC units range from small, portable, low-power units, to high-power indoor or outdoor permanent load solutions. Our advanced PC software that has been custom tailored for our units offer advanced load profile solutions for working within simple to complex testing applications for a variety of Data Centres and power supplies.
The chassis design for our AC Load Banks is robust and incorporates isolated interior chambers for control and load elements. The air-tight chassis design ensures electrical components are kept away from dirt and debris for long-life reliability in harsh work environments.
To top it off, all single-phase AC Load Banks come with multiple built-in automatic safety shutdowns and manual override shutdown. The portable versions also have lifting eyes and caster wheels for easy relocation.
DC Load Banks
Similar to our AC units, our DC units also range from small, portable, low-power units, to high-power indoor or outdoor permanent load solutions. They come with their own custom softwares and algorithms that offer advanced load profile solutions for working within simple to complex testing applications for a variety of Data Centres and power supplies.
Our DC Load Bank chassis are designed with user ease of use, portability, and versatility in mind. Similar to our AC units, the air-tight chassis design ensures electrical components are kept away from dirt and debris for long-life reliability in harsh work environments.
And, as with our AC Load Banks, all single-phase DC Load Banks come with multiple built-in automatic safety shutdowns and manual override shutdown. The portable versions also have lifting eyes and caster wheels for easy relocation.
How AC & DC works
Electricity can flow in two ways in a system, either AC or DC. The main difference between AC & DC mainly lies within the direction where the electrons are supplied. In Direct Current, the flow of electrons will be in a single direction. Meanwhile, in Alternating Current, the flow of electrons will change their directions like going forward & then going backwards.
Key Differences between AC vs DC
Here is a quick breakdown of some of the key differences between AC & DC currents:
– The direction of current flow will change at regular time intervals in an AC, whereas the DC is unchanging because it flows in a single direction only.
– The flow of charge carried in an AC will flow by revolving a coil within the magnetic field otherwise circling a magnetic field within an immobile coil. In DC, the charge brought will flow by maintaining the magnetism stable along with the wire.
– The frequency of an AC current ranges from 50 hertz to 60 hertz based on the country standard. On the other hand, the DC frequency always remains zero.
– The power factor of the AC lies between 0 to 1, while the DC power factor remains at one always.
– The generation & transmission of AC can be done using a few substations, whereas DC requires more substations.
– The AC load is resistive or inductive otherwise capacitive, whereas the DC load is resistive always.
No one does AC/DC Load Banks better
When it comes to providing the best way to fully verify AC and DC load capabilities, no one can top Synerflux’s top of the line service and quality. We conduct through, highly-sophisticated tests on each unit before it is ready to ship and will not settle for less than the best for our customers.
This also translates over to our customer support for our AC and DC Load Banks. Our domestic support team is available for over-the-phone and on-site service calls when needed. We will also deploy our team to be on-site within 3-4 working days when needed.
