Hydrogen Gas Detector

Be warned early with Hydrogen Gas Detector

When it comes to Hydrogen gas detection, you can’t afford to make a guess or use subpar equipment. Lives will be at stake and it’s up to companies to pick the best tools for this job.

Synerflux Hydrogen Gas detectors offer features that provide clear information on the instrument status and highly accurate sensors to make sure that you get the most precious readings.

Risks of Hydrogen Gas

Hydrogen Gas is classified under the flammable gas spectrum in industrial workplaces. On top of being able to combust with the lightest of flames, it is hazardous to the respiratory system when inhaled and is thus very closely monitored.

With toxic and flammable substances, like Hydrogen Gas, apart from the obvious environmental problems, the main concern is the effect on workers of exposure to even very low concentrations, which could be inhaled, ingested, or absorbed through the skin.

The Importance of a Hydrogen Gas Detector

In today’s industrial landscape, safety is of utmost importance. The wellbeing of a worker is put above all else by companies. Working in a Data Centre is a relatively risk-free job, but it is our job to ensure that it is almost totally risk-free. That’s where the use of a good Hydrogen Gas Detector comes in.

You can think of a Hydrogen Gas Detector as the modern-day ‘flame safety lamp’. For those who aren’t familiar with a flame safety lamp, it was what old time miners used to detect combustible gases in the mine shaft they worked in.

They would bring into the mines with them, using it as both a source of light and to detect dangerous gases in the shafts. The device could be used to estimate the level of combustible gases – to an accuracy of about 25-50%, depending on the user’s experience, inside most mine shafts.

The only problem with a flame safety lamp is that the worker needed to be within the vicinity of the gas to get a reading, which would end up putting them in harm’s way. Our Synerflux Hydrogen Gas Detectors remove that problem entirely. Once installed and calibrated, the monitoring of toxic gas can be done from the safety of their separated office space.

Best Hydrogen Gas Detector Installation services

Synerflux only delivers the best and we go above and beyond with our installation services. For our Hydrogen Gas Detection system, we usually send a team down to do onsite surveillance first, talk with the onsite personal of our clients and work with them to find the most suitable system to install in their working space. We offer a few varieties of Hydrogen Gas Detection systems but they boil down to two categories, fixed systems and portable systems.

Fixed Hydrogen Gas Detectors

Our fixed Hydrogen Gas Detectors are more suited for companies with medium to large sized Data Centre areas. They are able to detect a comprehensive range of flammable, toxic and Oxygen gases within a certain range from the sensors. We usually recommend four to five of these to cover a medium to large size room.

We offer a range of fixed sensors, from low-cost compliance through to high-end solutions that minimise maintenance and maximise equipment uptime.

Portable Hydrogen Gas Detectors

Our portable Hydrogen Gas Detectors are designed for “spot” reading in larger Data Centre areas with harder to reach locations. This also means that you can move them from suspected gas leak spots or just go around a larger area manually to detect hazardous gas. This is useful as it reduces the amount of fixed sensors you’d need to buy for a larger area.

Portable gas detectors are available as single or multi-gas units. A single unit comes with one sensor for the detection of a specific gas type. The multi-gas unit will be able to detect usually up to six different gas sensors (typically Oxygen, flammable, Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Sulphide).

For the most effective Hydrogen Gas detection, we recommend using a mix of both fixed and portable units. The fixed units can monitor sections where you wouldn’t want your employees going often while the portables can be used for on-the-go needs or when needing to go into tighter spaces where a fixed unit can’t read properly.
